Our instructors also bring their varied medical background experiences which enriches each course.

Deborah Perez-Imig
Deborah has had over 30 years’ experience in the healthcare industry. She has worked her way up from a Medical Assistant to owning her own billing service company to Director of billing and Coding services in many companies. She received a degree in Psychology in 2011. She has worked in many medical specialty offices and was able to experience the various ways of billing and coding. In 2016 she received her certified professional coding certificate from AAPC and then subsequently received her Certified Risk Adjustment Coder as well as her Certified Professional Coder-Instructor certification. She is licensed as a PMCC instructor with AAPC and holds an Approved Optum trainer certificate with Optum since 2018. Her overall passion has been education and she opened this school to help other students receive their certification.

Susan Otto-Clark
Born in Iowa, where the tall corn grows, Susan’s documentation and coding employment spans over 30 years for private medical practices, teaching hospitals and insurance companies. She originally received CPC Certification in 1994 and she received her instructor certification in 2002 and has been teaching both in-person classes and remote learning classes since then. She spent 35 years in Oregon and now resides near the Mohave desert.

Cindy Gomez
Cindy has worked in medical billing and coding since 2000. She started coding for physical therapy and progressed into family practice, chiropractic, and some specialty coding. Cindy worked as a biller and coder for Cardiovascular, Ear Nose and Throat, and physical therapy. In the past she has worked as an instructor for Carrington College in Stockton, CA and most recently for the Institute of Technology in Modesto, CA. Cindy teaches proficiency in communication, critical thinking, professionalism, and collaboration. Cindy has a passion for teaching and enjoys the success of every student she comes in contact with.
